The war on drugs has done nothing except create the black market for drugs, imprisoned many people that have not done any harm to any one and wasted billions and billions of tax dollars.

This black market is extremely profitable and as such enables criminals to buy assault weapons that they use to "defend" their market zone from competitors. This is where drive by shootings come in and where the little kids are getting shot in the crossfire.

For the police it is an excuse to violate the rights of anyone they suspect of possession or sale of drugs. If they turn out to be wrong, they just plant some drugs on you that they seized from their last bust.

If you want to reduce gang violence in the long run, legalize drugs, it eliminates the income source for them to finance their weapons supplies.

If you want to eliminate 30-40 billion dollars per year out of the budget, legalize drugs and dissolve the DEA, eliminate the need for our troops to be conducting operations in Columbia and elsewhere.

It cost the taxpayers a minimum of $30,000 per year to keep someone convicted of nothing more than possession or sale of a controlled substance locked up in prison. These people have not committed a violent offense and have harmed no one.

End the insanity of drug prohibition.

it isn't about if drugs are undesirable or not, it is about the money, do you realize the way a lot money is made through insurance organizations and organizations that do "random" drug sorting out. the authorities can't do random drug sorting out on the inhabitants yet they could turn a blind eye and say it is tremendous for businesses and insurance organizations to attain this. the authorities can't because it is unlawful search for. could be a similar for insurance organizations, who're behind businesses doing it. Why would my pal who replaced into 3 months from retirement get randomly examined each and each month earlier he retired because one constructive try and he would are turning out to be on retirement. same with artwork position injuries, try constructive and also you've were given no interest and no medical help both. The worst area for my area is they don't look sorting out for what someone will be doing at artwork yet for what they might have performed as a lot as a month in the past. it is about administration. for sure that's saving the insurance organizations money, and do not ignore all those rehab, sorting out places donate like mad to politicians. I agree only legalize/decriminilize all of it, concentration efforts on treatment in case you want it and depart the others be. The conflict on drugs has created a fabulous black market in this u . s . and with it comes the gang violence it fairly is turning out to be extra known accepted. look at historic previous prohibition, same project, gangs, extra violence thankfully it did not very last see you later as this nonsense has lengthy gone on. ok getting off the cleansing soap field.

It's funny how everything we do is called a war, even when it deals with our own civilians. The war on drugs is not working. But instead of legalization and funding for more rehab centers and ways of making the drugs as safe as possible, people rather spend more money for prisons. But hey, if a big drug bust tells you that it's working and you feel better at night go ahead.

As Chris Rock said "They don't want you to use your drugs, they want you to use their drugs"
