Im scared of the dark. So light helps a lot. Or music. The reason for this is because im scared that somethings going to come out and grab me. My brougther dose that all the time.

Ever since i was a little girl i have been afraid of the dark. I always feel that there is going to be someone there waiting to grab me. I still have some issues on it and i have to have a spotlight just to go to my car. I'm 25 and still scared of night time. There is a place in your brain that can detect feelings and sometimes it can play tricks on you. In my house i have a light on downstairs and one on upstairs. It could all be psychological and there are books to explain more of why people are afraid of the night time. In the back of your mind you keep things hidden that may scare you and being in the dark may be what sets them loose. If you learn the phrase that i did it may help you out alot. And the saying goes "There is nothing there in the dark thats not there in the light". Keep that in your mind and you'll be all set. Remember the night time can't hurt you. It's just black and empty with no view in sight.

my husband is afraid of the dark. it started when he was quite young and his two older sisters told him the boogie man was going to get him and he got the heebs from it and it has never gone away. he keeps it in check as much as possible but if it goes bump in the night, he isn't right there to be the go-to-guy to find out what it was.
