I once read of a serial-killer who'd been locked-up in a jail somewhere in Europe, away from his country due to his committing crimes there. After a couple of years, killings were happening with all the trademarks of this nutter, and not far from the prison. So the police checked-up. They asked - over the phone - "Do you have this man?" The prison officers replied that they did. He was in his cell as they spoke.
This telephoning went on for a while, until the police decided to travel to the prison to see for themselves.
When they arrived, they asked if he was there, and if he could ever get out. The warden replied "of course! He goes out on his bicycle every weekend for a ride to the village" ......Talk about lack of communication.

Do you know of anything similar, maybe about someone with the luck of the devil.?

Nothing I have ever seen. I met the Boston Strangler. It was early afternoon. He had on green coveralls. He asked how he could
get in our apartment bldg. We didn't
volunteer the info. or the way in with our keys. (we were outside with our kids on the play area) The next night his 'picture' was on the news! Ever since then, I don't see anything funny about serial killers.

Except the other day I was in a hurry and typing like crazy and when it was already up after 'submit' I saw I had written 'cereal.' Thank God for 'EDIT!'

What about the sniper killers in th US, last year I think..
I watched a very frightening documentary a couple of weeks ago on that. They were begging to be caught... but lack of communication between the different departments let them off for longer.
He called to confess and the (female) officer, refused to communicate because they weren't 'dealing' with the case and it wasn't in their area.
Unbelievable.

Dennis Neilson.
The British Policeman...and you would need to have a dark sense of humour to find it funny, but he used to kill his victims at his home, and store them away in cupboards etc, then get them all out and dress them up and have dinner parties with them.
He saw them as keeping him company.
Now if it wasnt true, and appeared in something like Police Academy, the spoof police movie, you would probably be able to laugh at it.
No disrespect meant
