I don't know about that... I feel an uprising coming on slow but sure.

"Were mad as hell and we're not gonna take it anymore!"

Then... you swat a Prozac bottom feeder (as I affectionately like to call them) in the back of their head until they get pissed off and scream at you...

to which you respond... "Now... don't you feel better, I know I do! " and walk away.

Will the Constitution cause the downfall of western civilization? That's the most politically correct document we have, as it insists that everyone, no matter who they are, has the sames rights as everyone else. The basic premise of political correctness is the same thing- everyone is equal, so everyone should be treated equally. Yes, it's sometimes gone too far, which is sadly a fate of many of humanity's best ideas. However, I don't think it's gone too far nearly as often as people like to claim. Is it a bad thing that using racially charged language is frowned upon? Is it bad that women expect to be treated like actual human beings and not sex objects? Is it so horrifying that people want our cultural landscape to more accurately reflect our racial makeup? I mean, my god, black people on television! Who aren't just gangstas and hookers! Whatever will happen next? Gay men who don't lisp or wear makeup?? Yeah, total downfall of civilization.

PS. Old Guy: red states are generally also the states who are most addicted to the federal teat. They pay less in taxes than they get back, while blue states pay more in tax dollars than they receive. See http://bigpicture.typepad.com/writing/2004/11/red_states_feed.html
The money quote? "The report shows that of the 32 states (and the District of Columbia) that are "winners" -- receiving more in federal spending than they pay in federal taxes -- 76% are Red States that voted for George Bush in 2000."

ABSOLUTELY!!

About the time our original 13 states adopted their new constitution, in 1787, Alexander Tyler, a Scottish history professor at the University of Edinburgh, had this to say about the fall of the Athenian Republic some 2,000 years prior:
"A democracy is always temporary in nature; it simply cannot exist as a permanent form of government. A democracy will continue to exist up until the time that voters discover that they can vote themselves generous gifts from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates who promise the most benefits from the public treasury, with the result that every democracy will finally collapse due to loose fiscal policy, which is always followed by a dictatorship."
"The average age of the worlds greatest civilizations from the beginning of history, has been about 200 years. During those 200 years, these nations always progressed through the following sequence:
1. From bondage to spiritual faith;
2. From spiritual faith to great courage;
3. From courage to liberty;
4. From liberty to abundance;
5. From abundance to complacency;
6. From complacency to apathy; (We are here!)
7. From apathy to dependence;
8. From dependence back into bondage
Professor Joseph Olson of Hamline University School of Law, St. Paul, Minnesota, points out some interesting facts concerning the 2000 Presidential election:
Population of counties won by: Gore: 127 million;
Bush: 143 million;
Square miles of land won by: Gore: 580,000; Bush:
2,427,000
States won by: Gore: 19 Bush: 29
Murder rate per 100,000 residents in counties won by:
Gore: 13.2 Bush: 2.1
Professor Olson adds: "In aggregate, the map of the territory Bush won was mostly the land owned by the tax-paying citizens of this great country. Gore's territory mostly encompassed those citizens living in government-owned tenements and living off government welfare..."
Olson believes the United States is now somewhere between the "complacency and apathy" phase of Professor Tyler's definition of democracy, with some 40 percent of the nation's population already having reached the "governmental dependency" phase.
Pass this along to help everyone realize just how much is at stake, knowing that apathy is the greatest danger.

No. Stupidity and shortage of understand-how will. operating example. clarify how "political correctness" and "liberalism" will "reason the eventual downfall of western civilization." bypass ahead. because it fairly is the variety of project that persons listen on Glenn Beck, and then repeat ad infinitum extremely of wondering. the folk railing hostile to "liberals" frequently can't even clarify of their personal words what a liberal is. they are so stupid, really, that they are enraged about issues that they understand actually not some thing about. for example, what "radical Islamic forces" are you speaking about? do not supply me meaningless generalities. clarify who or what that's that you're speaking about. supply us names. clarify why you imagine they seem to be a probability. can't attempt this? then you truthfully could probable stop putting forward such issues.

It will probably be a factor. Civilizations eventually fall when they become so bureaucratic and law bound that it becomes impossible to function in daily life without breaking multiple laws and/or regulations. Sort of like Cuba or other nations ruled by despots.

Political Correctness just means doing the right thing. Conservatives use the phrase as an excuse not to.
