I have a stamp collection from my late grandfather and I don't know where or how to sell them. He paid alot of money for them and I would like to get a fair sale. Any advice? thanks!

First, please read the excellent article on exactly this subject at http://www.virtualstampclub.com/inherit.html - it goes into a lot more detail than I can possibly write here.

Be aware that you may get less for the stamps than your grandfather paid - he bought at retail, and you will probably have to sell at wholesale. But he got many hours of enjoyment from them, so the money was not wasted.

You might check in the "shows and exhibitions" section at http://www.stamps.org and see if there are any stamp shows in your area. That's a good way to see a lot of dealers at the same time.

But first read the article listed in the first paragraph.

get them appraised by a reputible dealer who you are NOT going to sell them to. ask around other dealers to get the best price.
