Employers can only share you worked for them,with dates. As to why you were either let go or quit NO,that is not allowed,as far as I understand the law.

The answer is YES, Basicly anyone they do bussiness with they can exhange some information with. There are laws that prevent them from sending certian types of information though. In other words, if they start telling others your SSI#, bank account #, family members etc, they are breadking the law.

Sure they can and they must. For example insurance, bonding companies and off site payroll etc. Now if there is a privacy policy in place then they can only share with others that must know.

They can only share information such as your start date, leave date, position title, and rate of pay. Other than that they really cannot give much more information out unless you have signed a waiver.
