High Plains Drifter.
One of my favorite Eastwood movies, because it has a kind of sci-fi, fantasy bent.

I believe that the towns people (which were not many) with Clint painted the town RED before the rough outlaws rode in to take there revenge out on the people of that town.
I think that is correct?
