the formula is (y-t1)/(y2-y1)=(x-x1)/(x2-x1)

1.sub
y+1/-1+1=(x-8)/(7-8)
-1(y+1)=0(x-8)
-y-1=0
=>y+1=0

2.y+5/-15+5=(x+3)/3+3
6(y+5)=-10(x+3)
6y+30=-10x-30
adding 10x+30
10x+6y+60=0
dividing by 2
5x+3y+30=0

leteq.be ax+by+c=0
put (8,-1)
8a-b+c=0...(1)
put(7,-1)
7a-b+c=0.....(2)
solve (1) &(2) for a and b
in terms of c
u get
a=0
b=-c
put these values in ax+by+c=0
-cy+c=0
y-1=0
