Were former british colonies better off before independence?

All the former none white colonies have descended into war and famine since british departure.It might seem arrogant or racist , but I didnt make up the facts, theyre there in black and white.were sending food aid to most of them and the other half are plotting death of the west.
we taught these people how to speak, we gave them engineering and medical skills, yet most of them have reverted to living in mudhuts with a kalashnikov in one hand and a begging bowl in the other.

I could easily agree with you on some places. British rule always made sure that things in these countries ran much smoother and the British protected those people from outside threats and civil enemies. And it is weird how all these 3rd world countries all seem to be packing old, rusty kalashnikovs... that last bit really made me laugh. One of the things I'll have to remember!!!! But now they are all moving into England and god help anyone who speaks up against them, because "it would be un-PC".

I assume you are talking about America as the "white" colony. I hate to inform you but we descended into war as well. The difference is we warred with people so technologically inferior that we were able to commit almost total genocide, locking the rest down on small reservations of land we didn't want in a fairly short period of time.

You could argue that we are handing out benefits to how many white british people, giving them housing and what do the chavs do at night, smash up their own country that provides for them, from my tax.

Most people in Zimbabwe and the like, would be amazed at the what goes on in our inner cities !!
