No, but i've read a lot of books on the subject.I think i'm codependent.I'm not sure i'd have the courage to stand up in front of strangers and tell them about my life.I'm still working on it through books.It's a lifelong journey I think.

Hi, I have been to a co dependent's group. It was a live saver to me. I was in an abusive relationship and needed another perspective to know I was not crazy.
Co dependent's support group was great. They don't make you speak. What I loved was that you were allowed to just be you. If you did not want to speak it was okay.
I learned what aspects of myself led to codependency and how to recognize it. You also get to hear what others have been through and know that you are not alone in your thinking.
I hope that is helpful. For you to want to go to support group is great. I think the more you reach out for help. You will start seeing the answers your heart desires. Great job in being courageous in asking this question.

Yes, I've been. And it really helped me learn how to set boundaries (and get over a bad relationship in my life.)
If you are thinking about it, go check out a couple - I went to Codependents Anonymous. (Hmm guess I'm not Anonymous anymore) You don't have to speak or anything, just let them know you are thinking about joining but haven't decided yet.
Each group is different, so you may want to check out a couple before you find one to join.

(If this doesn't work for you, you may want to try individual counseling - some people don't like talking in groups. Find what works for you.)
