Okay i'm 16 years old and i am a female and i have a phisical at the doctors today. What to they usually do???

poke and prod...usually they check your back, heart, lungs eyes ears etc. Then they will prolly feel your breasts to check for lumps. They they will stick metal things up you and look around in there to see if you have any growths etc. Possible they will take a sample of your cervix and test it for abnormalities. They worst part is the pap smear/vaginal exam. close your eyes and picture a happy place!

As a general rule, depends on what the physical is for. If its a routine event, because you are of child bearing age, a pelvic exam, breast exam and lab work is what most doctors will do. If its for a job, then most likely will be the lab work, a range of motion exercise to insure you have no limitations, mainly the lower back, and probably a drug screen.
All are normal exams and no reason to be worried.

If your not sexually active they most likely won't do a pap-smear. So your lucky there. Other than that your Dr. will most likely talk to you about your overall health, check your breast, and take a look at your "goodies". LOL! But it's not so bad. I was scared the first time I went and it ended up all ok. Its ok to be a little nervous your first time or two, but let your Dr. know your nervous and they will coax you so your not so nervous! GOOD LUCK!!!

It just depends on the doctors. Are you getting a physical for school to be in sports? When I was in HS I had to get one as well. All they really do is just check if your physically able to participate in these extra caricular activites. Just basic things nothing to worry about! lol Good luck and dont be nervouse

It depends on what you are having done. If you are just having a physical then they will check your blood pressure, pulse, height and weight. They will listen to your lungs and check your heart as well as check you abdomon for any masses, They will probably feel your back to check for scoliosis too. HOWEVER if you are going in for a pelivic/pap test that will be different. If you did not ask them for a pap and pelvic they may not do one as those have to be requested in order for them to do them.
