Do you not want to be on it? (dont see why you wouldnt) but you could always uh NOT take it...its not like he would be able to tell...until you get pregnant that is.

If your sexually active then whats the problem!?! But if your not I see where your problem is. When I was 14 my mother made me get on birth control cause she found out that I had had sex for the first time I didnt have sex again after that one time until I was about to be 18. She still made me take it for a whole year. If this is your case talk to your father and let himknow you dont plan to have sex any time soon but if you do plan on or are already having sex BC is the best. If your still young and living with your father and having sex, he just wants to make sure you dont pop up with another mouth that he has to feed. Hope this helps.

Why did he put you on birth control?
First of all, I don't think that there's anything wrong with that, if the doctor has agreed and giving you a prescription for it. It will save you from having to do it in the future.
As to what to do about it. You can either take it or not. Ultimately, it's up to you.

Your dad is concerned that you are or could be soon having sex. I think your dad is very forward thinking. It certainly is not a license to go out and become a tramp.
Being on the pill is great for your complexion.
Be thankful you have a liberal Dad and have sex when you find the right guy for you.

Don't do anything... go on with your business and such as normal... I put my daughter on BC at 16yo... it helped her periods to be lighter and shorter in duration... and if and when she decided to have sex she was protected fromgetting pregnant... in addtion if you do decide to have sex... use a condome... BC is not 100%... and the STD's that are out there... Be glad that your father allowed this ... most parents stay in denial... thinking that "oh my kid won't do anything"... good luck and stay safe and be smart about the choices you make now that you are on the pill

I take it that you mean you don't care for it? If that is the case, then he must feel that you are very sexually active and may not be ready for the consequences that may result. But to my knowledge, he can't legally make you take it. Talk to your doctor, teacher or some other responsible adult about it. Try your Father first though!

Thats concerning! You need to talk to someone if he is making you feel uncomfortable. Do you have a boyfriend, and he is worried about you getting pregnant? If not then you need to talk to someone you trust about this. That is not right for him to want you one birth control.

What do you mean you don't know what to do about it? If you are sexually active you need to take them!
