I am 17 I have been having really bad cramps and haven't had an appetite for the last month. I haven't had a period for two months. One of my friends thinks I am pregnant but I haven't had sex with anyone and my other friend thinks its just stress. Any ideas?

If u havent had sex, at all then you cant be preg, i would say its stress, or maybe to much weight loss. Do you do sports, because that can make your period go away?? I'd say go to the gyno and get looked at, thats the best way to check to see if everything is okay, but first tell your mom, bc she will know what to do for you!!

Your hormones are out of whack. My daughter just went through the exact thing. I took her to a pediatric internist who gave her these hormone pills to take for 7-10 days, then stop. Then you have a period and it seems to reset the whole hormone system and give you more regular periods with less cramping from then on. The hormone was something like progesterone only, not "the pill" formulation at all. My daughter was small and became very nasaueous on this therapy, so after 4 days we stopped it and made an appointment with the doctor. By the time the appointment date came up (7 days later), she had her period with just a small amount of cramping. and it has been regular ever since (past 4 months)
See if you can make an appointment with either a female pediatrician fresh out of med school or a gynocologists. Most older doctors do not think about using hormone therapy to reset the cycle. At least the ones around here didn't.
Also, try to de-stress. I know highschools are more like prisons where the regs change daily and the teachers are now more menapausal than laid back, but try to de-stress through after-school activities, social interactions, and exercise. Stress will cause the hormonal cycle to go out of whack and cause the pain of cramps to magnify.
Good Luck!

I am no master in the female anatomy but I DO have quite a lot of female friends. Your problem could be that monthly visitor that women play host for. You haven't had it in 2 months doesn't mean that it won't come the next. It could be stress but only you would know for sure, and since you haven't had sex, I still strongly believe that it's that monthly visitor. All the same ask a Gynecologist.

Could very well be stress. Could be alot of things. You should really see a doctor. You could have a cyst causing the cramps and lost appetite.
