Went to docs and he says my cervix is still high but it is changing. I have heard that squatting down and bouncing will help the dialation process, does anyone know if this is true. I guess it makes sense.

I never heard that one-but I have heard fast walking, drinking caffeine, having ankles and breasts massage can all stimulate labor.Also-if you are still sexually active-have your partner ejaculate inside you-something in the sperm can thin out and open the cervix over a short period of time.

I have never been told to do that. I guess exercise in general would help the dialation process, but as far as bouncing? I could not be sure. I know that walking and gentle exercise is very healthy. and helps in the dialation process. But I have had two kids already and have never been told to bounce around. good luck and congrats.

hiya when i was in labour with my last baby the midwife kept putting me on the toilet to squat, this is meant to help bring the head down on to the cervix which should help dilation.
i see no reason it wouldn't help push the cervix lower. i did have my daughter an hr or so later but like i say i was already in labour
wouldnt hurt you to try
good luck x x x x

No that's not true but have sex the semen helps soften the cervix and then do some walking around that helps the baby drop down. No need to jump around you don't want to detach your placenta it can kill your baby. Good luck

I heard that back in the day, we would squat to give birth, instead of lie down. It makes sense. Gravity pulls. Kind of hard on the back. I squatted in labor and it was relieving... Good luck...

No it doesnt help. It just stresses the muscles and tendond of your uterus, making you sore before delivery, which makes you even more sore. Not ot mention the extreme stress it puts on your already tired and stressed joints.

Try walking, having sex, and stimulating your nipples for atleast 20 minuets a couple times a day, (with manually or with a breast pump.)
