My boyfriend and I have been together for 7 years now. When our "anniversary" rolls around, I usually like to do something special, something we haven't done in a while. For instance, we hop on his motorcycle and go for a drive in the country, then stop and eat lunch at restaurant he likes maybe movie or a video rental later that night. Sundays are great for sleeping n late and breakfast in bed! I am lucky to have a guy who appreciates the simple things in life. And remember its not how much you spend or what you do, its who you spend the day with and it is he thought that counts.

Celebrating 5 years of love is a pretty big deal. Maybe getting a really nice hotel room, a good bottle of wine, some room service. and just spending hours looking into each others eye's and going over all the reasons your still in love with each other. When your done with that maybe you two could spend a few more hours telling each other why you would want to spend another 5 years with each other. No matter how you spend it together. It's just being together that matters. Hope this helps a little.

How long do you intend to be a girl friend? Are you being pressured by family and friends on when you are getting married?
You need to have the commitment talk on your 5th anniversary or you will be asking this same question on your 10th and 15th anniversary.
What do you want from this realationship? Have you told him? This is what you need to do at the milestone of 5 years.

This is a hard ??? to answer not knowing your favorite things to do etc... if your doing this as a gift for him... I suggest something he would like... you can always do the traditional romantic evening but include something he will know was just for him... something you wouldn't normally do... and of course the usual thing of course... you wearing sexy outfit and just staying in for the night and doing the you know what... you could also go to dinner and then shop for you something sexy to wear and then take him home and blow him away with the look he picked out...

Since you guys have been dating for so long; why don't you try doing something you guys haven't done since you first started dating. For instance, if you are still near your first date place, then go there. We can't give you any ideas since we don't really know what you guys like doing; my recommendation is to do something that you guys used to enjoy doing, which will hopefully remind you two why you first started dating.

If you can afford it, a weekend cruise to Mexico would be nice. It would run about $300 a person or so.
