The best thing to do is to take a day or two and look at how many calories you are consuming now. Then take that number and subtract by 500 calories...eat that many calories a day until you stop losing weight. After you hit a plateau, subtract by 250 calaries a day until you stop losing weight again. Another thing is to stop eating fatty (esp trans fat and sat. fat) foods, simple carbs (white bread, white pasta, etc) and eat more fish, chicken, turkey, and whole wheats. Also, 3 pounds a week is dangerous, try for only 1 to 2 pounds a weeks, an average of 75ish pounds a year. That is a healthy weight. Another things is to try to get more aerobic exercise in (about 30 min. a day 5 days a week) also weight training can help because if you build up muscles, they will burn calories for you even when sleeping. Muscle burns more calories than fat and you can even lose some weight while doing nothing if you build those muscles. good luck...

3500 calories is a pound. But 3 pounds a week is a lot to lose, and that rapid of weight loss will probably just lead to you putting it back on. One to two is more healthy and more likely to stay off. I also use www.my-calorie-counter.com I love it and I learned a lot about what I was actually eating. Try to take out 500 to 1000 calories a day, either by excersize or eating less.

Three pounds a week is not a healthy loss. I would shoot for two pounds a week. Start by reducing your calorie intake....a 500 calorie reduction per day results in 3500 per week which is the equivalent of a pound. So eliminate 1000 a day and you're set, or include burning enough calories through exercise and the calorie reduction doesnt have to be so drastic.

well i just read a book that says if you just cut your calorie intake back 200 calories a day you can loose 2-3 pounds a week. but my best advise would be to keep a food journal and log everything you put into your mouth, add up the calories and decide at the end of the day what you want to cut out. remember green leaffy vegtables will be a good way to get full and cut back try to skip dressings and cheese on top.. i like mine with grilled chicken and tomato with sea salt and garlic. you can eat as much salad as you want its the breads and the pasta and sugars that are bad.i just read this book called YOU on a diet by dr. mehmet Oz he was on Oprah last week.. great book..

it is a dull method to nutrition and become hurting you greater than it is helping. When you move to a ways under what your frame demands- your frame thinks there's a famine (survival instintt) and sluggish down your metabolism. So you wish to have much less energy - so your killing your self, and wasting a few weight. But this isn't sustainable, and as quickly as you starte ating regularly, you'll reap all of it again and extra. and in view that you misplaced muscle at the hunger nutrition - your frame fats % is going means up.- Just no longer clever. Now I can say this all I wish- however you're down over 60 kilos - so that you must determine what works for you. Find a nutrition you'll be able to are living with eternally.

There is a website you can go to and enter your sex, age, weight, height, and daily activity level and it will tell you how many calories your body needs per day. Subtract 500-800 calories per day depending upon how many you require...remember a female should consume at least 1,200 calories per day. The website is http://www.calorie-count.com/calories/calories-burned.php
