one of the mowers credited back to me. Their response is either to blame the credit card company they use or that they are really backed up on "returns." What happened was I ordered a rider to be delivered and charged it on my HD card. Then I learned it would take too long to be delivered. I cancelled the on-line order and called a local HD and ordered it from them. Again, I put that order on my HD card. The first order has never been credited back. So far, both purchases are on a no interest no payment deal, but soon the interest and payments will kick in. Any advice?

Dispute the charges with the credit card company, if you are still within the company's limitation period. You should always dispute the charges with the credit card company so they know and are aware of a problem.Otherwise, you might have to eat the cost. It's a home depot card, yes, but I'm sure there's an independent financing company that they go through. That's who you want to talk to.

This is a lesson well learned, regrettably....
I do not own a credit card for several reasons.
I think that subjecting my finances to open-ended debit transactions is a "no\no".....

When you make an on-line transaction, you can never be guaranteed as to what you will get or how much it will actually cost you in the long-run.

I try to be practical and live within my means and sometimes that means that, I have to wait to get what I want....

We regrettably live in a society where business is reduced to fiduciary demographics rather than scrupulous integrity....

Identity theft and fraudulent bank-account tampering is a big boon these days...
You have to be very careful whom you allow with this sensitive information.....
This is why I prefer to handle my transactions in cash or money orders, it's safer....

As for resolution to your problem contact your State Attorney General and the Better Business Bureau, they should be able to help you clear-up this most unfortunate matter.

I find that this is quite indignant of "Home Depot" at least their on-line services.

I do not know what card policy they are using yet I have delt with them as a remodeling contractor and have a account with them. They do as a rule hold their service and credibility very highly and do not want to put it in harms way. If you have not received either I would go in and see the accounts service manager to go online through then to credit your account. Then I would report them to the BBB and also a credit reporting agency, if that carries no wait then contact the attorney general's office,they do have clout and a media station alert doe's not hurt either.

Yes, it may now be too late but what you should have done the minute you spotted the bogus charge is file a written dispute to the address specified on your Home Depot bill.

Dealing with the merchant doesn't protect your rights.

I say you should call the HD head office and speak with the highest ranking manager that you can speak with, explain to him the situation, request a refund and if he refuses, then say you'll call the Better Business Bureau.. it's for them to refund the money all the card company can do is note it to your account. Hopefully you kept all paperwork for the transactions

I prefer the self-propelled Toro. Easier to push and Toro has always been a long lasting mower for me. I have bought two or three in my lifetime. Hope this helps!
