(3x + 10) -5x = 6x - 50
3x +10 = 6x + 5x - 50
50 + 10 = 6x + 5x - 3x
60 = 8x
x = 60/8
x =7.5
x = 7/1/2

(3x + 10) - 5x = 6x - 50
3x + 10 - 5x = 6x - 50
3x + 10 + 50 = 6x +5x
10 + 50 = 6x + 5x - 3x
60 = 8x
60/8 = x
7.5 = x
or
7/1/2 = x

(3x + 10) - 5x = 6x - 50
3x + 10 - 5x = 6x - 50
3x - 5x - 6x = -50 - 10
-8x = -60
-8x/-8 = -60/-8
x = 7.5
to check:
(3x + 10) - 5x = 6x - 50
3x + 10 - 5x = 6x - 50
3(7.5) + 10 - 5(7.5) = 6(7.5) - 50
22.5 + 10 - 37.5 = 45 - 50
-5 = -5

(3x + 10) = 6x + 5x -50
3x + 10 = 11x - 50
10 + 50 = 11x - 3x
60 = 8x
60 x 1/8 = 8x x 1/8
60/8 = x
15/2 = x
7.5 = x

Ans. (3x+10) -5x = 6x - 50
3x +10 = 11x-50
10 + 50 = 11x-3x
60 = 8x
x = 15/2
= 7.5

x=7.5 (3x + 10) - 5x = 6x - 50
-10 -10
3x - 5x = 6x - 60
-2x = 6x - 60
-6x -6x
-8x = -60
/-8 /-8
x = 7.5

Ignore the () and combine the x's so it reads _x = -50
It does you no good to have someone else solve the problem for you.
P.S. If you really meant -5x(3x +10) then you have to multiply -5x * 3x and -5x*10

Add 5x to both sides.... 3x+10=11x-50
Add 50 to both sides..... 3x+60=11x
Subtract 3x from both sides.... 60=8x
Divide both by 8.... 60/8=x
Answer... 7.5=x
