Drink lots, get sleep. Have some lemsip or honey and lemon. Hot showers to sweat out your cold. Breathe in some water vapours whilst showering. But you are right, definitley try to sleep on the plane since that will relax your sinuses to some degree.
Do you drink tea? Chamomile helps to relax. Earl Grey is good too. But refrain from drinking anything cold for now, and ask for warm drinks if possible from the cabin crew.
However, its the cabin pressure during take off and landing that will be your main issue, so have some chewing gum on your person.
Hope you get well soon!

If you want to clear it up, take a strong psuedafed, or benadryll, which usually helps. I also find that sometimes a hot shower or drinking a hot drink (hot cider or hot chocolate) will open up any congestion due to the steam/warm moisture, and allow you to survive with minimal pain, as long as the congestion is mostly in your nose, not deep in your sinus cavities.

Sudafed, Advil or Tylenol, zinc and caffeine. My dad has terrible sinuses and is a pilot, and he flies with colds all the time. Just think where aviation would be if pilots called off every time they had a stuffy nose?!?!? If your ears bug you, try holding your nose while "blowing" with your mouth closed, then swallow.
