I think that it is a stupid rule for the NFL to penalize players and fine them for celebrating on the field after a play. I think it's fun to watch what a player will do and the dance he will perform... they shouldn't be fined $1,000's of dollars for that!! Let them enjoy themselves!!!!!

Seriously, most people need to take a chill pill and take the stick out of their butts. Celebrating a TD isnt unprofessional when they are playing professional SPORTS. Passion and emotion is a big part of getting a TD. As long as its not overboard or taunting to the other team....who cares. At the end of the day, its a sport, and entertainment for fans.

It's one thing to celebrate a bit with one spontaneous display, but don't hold up the game or draw any unnecessary attention to yourself or act like a taunting schoolyard bully! Just play the game, and if you score, exchange high fives, pump your fists, and do a short little dance! We don't need some choreographed Broadway show in the endzone! The games already take a bit over 3 hours on average, so act like you've scored before and play! I think they enjoy themselves enough as it is with the money they make to play a GAME and be afforded the lifestyle they have. Therefore, they need to make it quick and stop acting like fools out there. Enough of them act like fools off the field as it is!

wow

the NFL should not stand for No Fun League, let the players have fun..being fined $1,000 for celebrating is absurd!!

and also it should not count as a JOB because it is a GAME yes they make a bunch of money, but that is because of merchandise sales etc but that does not take away the fact that football is a GAME

if you are down by a bunch then you shouldnt do a lil endzone dance but other than that its fine

They can celebrate individually if they want to. Just no organized team celebrations.
Also if they use the ball as a prop they will be fined as well.
They know the rule so all they have to do is not break it.

Be a pro and act like you've been in the end zone before. Some of these clows will dance when they score even when they are losing.

You're right they shouldn't be fined 1,000's of dollars. They should be fined 100,000's of dollars (something they will notice). If they want to dance, let them be cheerleaders. This is football!

If you want to watch dancing and other CRAP like that watch "Dancing With the Stars". If I was playing and somebody started doing that CRAP I would bust him on the next series, whether he had the ball or not. It is entertaining and it looks childish.

Yeah, that'd be fun to watch, I'm a die hard New England fan, but I like to watch the Colts and Cowboys play too!

I think if they do it ad neauseam(sp.?), they(the player) should cool it. But in the case of Marvin Harrison doing it recently who is such a class act every other time, they should have just let it go.
