First you have to ask why you had the affair to begin with? Is there a problem at home?? Are you still in love with the former girlfriend??? If you want to forget someone, you simply need to find out why that person is on your mind. Maybe you have a lot of idle time, find something to do; work out, get a hobby, spend some time with the women at home maybe. The last is probably the most important you know. Avoid the former girl at all cost and use the time that you would have spent with her to fix what you have with the one at home.

Honestly the best way to forget someone you had an affair with is to find someone else, or if you cheated hope your partner will forgive you. The old country song that goes "Only one thing can make you get over a woman -- another woman."

Thats, a great question. Actually I was gonna ask the same question. I don't even want to forget her. We continue to chat online everyday. She is married too and has decided to work on her family. I'm sure it is probally for the best, however I cannot get over her. The what if's are killin me. If you are not talking to her anymore, hopefully she will fade from your mind eventually. It's probally the best course of action. Me, myself can't seem to break that tie from talking to her everyday. But good luck to you.

You never will. Especially if you built up emotional feelings for that person and it became intimate. Been there done that. Just do what you've got to do and move on with your life.
