I am looking at going back to school and would like to get into something like this and I guess I thought they were the same. Please explian the difference.

Interior design is the design of the space...ie,,, wall placement... window placement,,, partitions,, etc..
interior decoration is the decoration of the space...

I think with the interior design, you are more less of a person that comes up with how to design a room to improve it, think of the designers on Trading Spaces, and the decorating, I would think would be the people that actually decorate it or pick out decorations that complement the interior designer's ideas.

I think they are pretty much the same. Like bar versus cocktail lounge. Interior design is probably a more upscale term.
