I think with the interior design, you are more less of a person that comes up with how to design a room to improve it, think of the designers on Trading Spaces, and the decorating, I would think would be the people that actually decorate it or pick out decorations that complement the interior designer's ideas.

whilst i began college - i grew to become into analyzing indoors layout so i will enable you to already know there's a distinction yet regularly it form of sounds like they do an identical component. An indoors clothier has a suited preparation which incorporate a BA + a certification with the aid of a countrywide indoors clothier corporation, and an indoors decorator is purely an rather imaginitive individual who's proficient in adorning. An indoors clothier takes into attention components such by way of fact the form of a room (or being the "architect" of a room to realize a particular purpose or ecosystem), furniture layout, hues and then of direction the common adorning too. something that an indoors clothier might try this a decorator would not could be commercial areas which incorporate a residing room/nightclub and help with the development plans (to realize a particular ecosystem) or do a public development so as that the colors and function paintings jointly. in reality they could be as distinctive as you prefer them to be - yet to maximum people they're an identical component.

We have a design department in my company and we look at design as construction related, while decorating is the painting, furnishings, and accessories.

I think they are pretty much the same. Like bar versus cocktail lounge. Interior design is probably a more upscale term.
