My father owns a watch company which I work for and pretty much all of our customers are jewelery shops-I can organize discounts :) Prices will not be cheap as can be expected, but if you're coming from overseas the chances are that jewelery will seem cheap to you because of the exchange rate!

As much as you can afford, but I doubt jewelery is as cheap in SA as would be in Dubai! But you never know check around, just don't wear it once you have bought it, because someone else will be wearing it before you have had time to enjoy! Chain/bag snatches pickpocketing is rife here!

Hi, to tell you the truth, the gold we have is taken to America and England, made to fine jewellery then sold back to us in SA. So, you might be better off buying it elsewhere in the west.

well dimonds are much cheeper in south africa then europ and many other contrys , lets say you want a dimond the size of a pinky nail would be lets say 12,000 dollas then in south africa lets say 7,000 dollas
