Well funny u should say that. I have just been there this weekend. I stayed at the Premier Travel Inn in Knaresborough Place South Kensington SW5 0TJ For more information please call 0870 238 3304. Staff are fantastic and the rooms are amazing. However u wont find anywhere in that part of london to fit the price of 40 quid though.
But call these people and see where u go from there,

call the college colleges in the state let people stay in dorms for cheap, call and ask the college
