Is it okay for a woman to smoke in Egypt? And does it look bad if you have a child and you're not married?

I am half Egyptian and I am going on a trip starting tomorrow to visit family and travel around. Is it bad for a woman to smoke? I don't want my dad to look bad. As it is I have a daughter and I am not married...Will people make comments about this? Do some Egyptian women smoke or have kids outside of marriage?

Many women smoke here in Egypt but it doesnt look nice and at the same time your dad wont look bad because u smoke. Everyone is free to do what he wants although somking is a bad habit (sure u heard it many times) but its your choice to smoke so dont be ashamed of it anywhere.
About having a child without being married is a very bad thing here. I cant find any other word to describe it but here they consider it adultery which is very bad thing here and egyptians are getting imprisoned for it if they r caught (i mean caught doing it if u get what i mean) but since u r not tottaly egyptian dont worry but at the same time dont tell. U can say that his father didnt come with u or that he is dead long tmie ago.

for smoking as a woman most people think this isn't descent but in some area in cairo & alex many women do & don't see that is bad if u r going to north egypt delta no it isn't okay at all but maybe they put in consider that ur half egyptian &don't live in egypt so it wouldn't be agreat deal. but for having a daughter and u r not married so tell them that u r divorced or ur husband died or anything else but never tell them that u didn't get married good luck

its not that bad to smoke in egypt, but it depends on the place ur hanging out in.
try to go to A, B class places like zamalek, mohandeseen, masr el gedeeda (some places there), but dont smoke on the street, u wont find any girls do that, u can smoke in cafes, hotels..etc
u'll know when u get here, also if ur too young its not that acceptable so put that in mind.
egypt is not a strict arab country, infact its very civilized yet not western.
about children thing, if a woman have kids outside marriage, this is totally unacceptable here, she will be considered a wh*re.
remember this is a Muslim country.

Smoking women are frowned upon but not that big a deal. As for children outside wedlock , that is highly unacceptable. I would lie about it if I were you.

Any parent who smokes is selfish and does not really love their child . . . real love would NEVER expose their child to that . . . THAT looks bad anywhere on planet earth (not just Egypt) . . . people here comment on how repulsive parents who smoke are all the time.

just say your husband was killed or something and you smoke to relax after loosing him and if they say something get after them
