Whenever i turn the garden hose on from the outside of my house, the inside of my house makes an awful sound, like a dying animal moan. It sounds awful. Also, only 1 bathroom toilet makes a loud hammer sound when the toilet gets done flushing. Any ideas, are these problems related?

Yeah, this is water hammer. When you shut off the water, the pressure backs up and starts the pipes vibrating. Bleeding the air is a good first step.

Turn off the main water shut-off valve. You’ll find it next to the water meter. Then turn on cold water faucets on both the sinks closest to the water meter and farthest away from the meter. This drains the cold water line.

After the sinks have stopped dripping, turn off the faucets and turn the main water shut-off valve back on. Now, turn on each of the faucets on all the sinks, showers and bathtubs, then flush all the toilets in the house. Doing this will reestablish the air cushion on your house.

If that doesn't work you may need to install a water arrestor (shock absorber) on the water line nearest the problem.

counting on the make of your exhaust, you may both purchase baffles which will deploy into the exhaust, or you may take the exhaust aside and repack it with muffler packing fabric. They promote it at your close by cycle keep. yet i'm not constructive that shoving metallic wool up the pipe will do some thing except blocking off your exhaust, and ensuing in some interesting gas blend issues for the motor, or blowing out products of metallic wool once you commence it up.

Sometimes it's your venting system. Usually it's too low and needs to be extended on your roof.
