In my honest yet humble opinion I believe that 65% of behavior is genetic or predefine within someone, and the rest is learned. I base this evidence on the fact that often twins, seperated at birth, and having never met each other before, will often like the same foods, hold similar jobs, choose similar husbands/wives, enjoy the same activities and the like.

No, for a couple of reasons. While it is true that each person is different, and so common behaviors can come from society or common sources, only some are learned because they person does not know any better. A lot of behavior is a choice made by the person to accept or reject, based on morals, personality, etc., an influence on their behavior, so part of it comes from the person.

No, behavior isn't ALL anything. Genetic predisposition plays a role, as does learning/experience. Children have personalities, they aren't merely blank slates such that if you duplicated the stimulus you'd always get the exact same results.

Yesum. There is instinct and genetic patterning also. it all comes down to the analysis of the behaviour and the interpretation of the action.

I believe that it is a combination of both. You can take two children that have been through the same situations (i.e. sexual abuse) and one will go on to abuse again, while the other would not ever abuse.

The is nothing straight forward when it comes to the human mind.

No, all humans have natural animal like instincts...thus in order to be more civilized we're trained to submerge them, and that is what causes many of our emotional problems, that's why it's wise to fight back when threatened, or attacked, and blow off steam so to speak when anxiety, stress, and depression-of which is submerged rage gets the best of us...

Nature or nurture? could be time to hit the books what do you think? I think a combination of both genetic disposition and "perceived" ideas and environment. Look at the twin experiences

it depends on what aspect of behavior we are talking about.if it is mental retardation then there is definitely a genetic predisposition. most behavior is learnt. for instance most of my personality characteristics are differnt from those of my mother and my father.

Definitely not. For example - crying is not learned.
