I have a red fish thats a sponge, but its more like what sponge is like a fish. It's in my bathtub you see.

Either you are thinking about a sea cucumber which looks like a long sponge. Or even a sponge itself (they are living creatures).

It's called a sponge. Sponges are live creatures that live on the seabed. They come in different shapes. (The longer rougher ones are loofers).

I presume you mean a Puffer, Which will inhale either water or air as a self defense against predators. They will only do this a a last resort as its not good for them at all. If its not the Puffer your on about then i haven`t got a clue

...a puffer fish? Like Mrs. Puff from SpongeBob Squarepants. They look like they absorb water, but they actually suck up the water through their mouths into their stomach when they feel threatened.. which makes them expand.

if its actually a true fish not an invert it may be a stonefish or angler or frogfish these are both ambush predators and look like spnges to blend in to surprise there prey
