Hmm....a lot of NRI's i have come across are generally "over sanskari-ised".I think they believe that they have to make up for living in another country, esp one in which the sanskars are different from ours.
Infact, some of the people i know pretend to be superior to us, ESPECIALLY in the sanskar department.Just because they live abroad, they think they have the right to preach to us,which is very irritating because we LIVE in india and we are literally drowning in the so called sanskars.....we dont need pretentious people spouting sanskars for the few days that they come and live here.

Which people? They'll think you have no sanskars if that is how you act.

Just be careful to hold to the standards you believe in.

Many Westerners have very low standards. You don't have to imitate them.

Because of Western culture and the perception they will be influenced by it. Not a completely unfair assumption, plenty of Indian kids become white-washed and start doing things Western (girls especially) would do but Indian culture would never tolerate.

Western culture is corrupt, i think even most westerners would say that if they were beingtitally honest.
