Why is Winnie the only Pooh ever?

I mean, really. You never hear of, like, 'John the Pooh' or anything do you? So why? Why are there no other poohs ever?

There is a book by an ex Disney Animator (whose name shall not be mentioned for security purposes) called "Sweeter Than Honey" detailing the life and times of Winnie the Pooh. I believe, from what I can recall from the earlier part of the story, the Poohs were originally regarded as mythical beast, and upon discovery of their existence were likewise hunted down and wiped out (one such person being a great descendant of Christopher Robin)...Winnie's immediately family were killed en route to a honey gathering and young Winnie is said to have been sustained during his youth on that feeding without any real knowledge of origins...the book also suggested Pooh's Honey fixation may be a way to block out possible memories of the event but makes no solid statments.

Ultimately Winnie found a place among other such "Stitch Beast" as the book calls them, a group having cleverly concluded a safer life by taking shelter near the homes of the hunters, thus was the bridge that would link Winnie and Christopher Robin together....the endind does mention another, larger species related to Pooh...supposedly the last one of its kind...its family killed surprisingly enough, by Christohper John himself out on a rather innocent rock-skipping outing...

If I could tell you the authors name it,d probably make sense for me to encourage you to look out for "Scent of A Pooh: To Kill a Robin" in stores soon Im sure.

The Poohs are from another planet, Lexarius. Winnie was sent here to study Christopeher Robbins and then return home to Lexarius, but Winnie fell in love with honey, Chris, Eyore, Piglet, and Tigger too. Plus he got a great movie deal and his own line of stuffed Winnies and decided to never return to Lexarius again.

"Criminals are a cowardly, superstitious lot," he mused to himself late one night. "My disguise must strike terror into their hearts. I must become black, terrible, a creature of the night, a-- a--"

Just then Christopher Robin broke in, "Oh, pooh! Look Winnie, I love you and I'm sorry you lost your parents, but you've got to face the fact that you're just a little bear! Come on, don't weep so... come here and I'll hold you."

Nestled in Christopher Robin's sheltering, protecting arms, Winnie murmured to himself, "That's it! It's an omen. I shall become a Pooh!" And with that, he fell fast asleep.

aa milne is the author of winnie the pooh. he wrote books about his son christopher robin. christopher robin named a swan pooh as it never came when he called it. winnie came from an old bear that aa milne used to take his son to at amuseum called winniepeg, he just shortened it to winnie for his own stuffed toy. when aa milne came to write the books for his son made it winnie the pooh. it also used to winnie THER pooh but chrisopher robin thought this was to fussy for a silly old bear. just for your information there is a real 100 acre wood and pooh bridge which you can visit at ashdown woods.
