My suggestion is answer the following questions, evaluate yourself, and take action. You are in a tricky situation here.
1) Did you get laid off or fired? Approach is different if they simply laid you off.
2) What did they fire you for? Is that the real reason? Is there merit in their reason? Is it possible they made a mistake because of some misunderstanding.
3) Did you enjoy working there? Do you have a good, professional relationship with your boss?
Talk to the company and ask them the reasons for firing you. If the reasons do not sound genuine and convincing, don't go. If you did not enjoy working there in the first place, consider as a blessing and find a job elsewhere. If you do take up the job back, you may want to make sure they completely remove any record of firing you.

You didn't tell us why you were fired. It appears whoever decided to fire you may have had a change of heart and realized that it was a wrong decision, that they really need you there. So now do you go back or not? It depends on you. Do you feel comfortable with going back? Will you be able to perform your job to the best of your ability? Do you really need the job? Can you get along with whoever fired you, do you like your job? Only you can answer this. Now you can always go back there but look for another job just in case you should have another problem in the future. Talk to the one who fired you to resolve any problems should you decide to go back there. Good luck!

One of three things just took place: They realized that you did more than they thought you did (workwise) and now they can't find anyone to replace you and be willing to do it all for a low wage, or they aren't willing to pay the going rate your position commands and so they want you back because they were paying you less. Last but actually most likely? They need you to train the new person after which time you'll be canned again.
You can do one of two things: Negotiate, they obviously need you for something so don't accept what you were getting previously...get something out of it but don't be overly demanding or outrageous...ball is in your park at the moment.
Or turn down the offer and question why they are now rethinking their decision to fire you in the first place. Employers don't normally do this type of thing unless there is something in it for them...
Personally, I'd take the firing as a sign that this Manager or who ever doesn't really have it together, therefore I'd rather work for someone who knows what they are doing and doesn't react on knee jerk decisions. Better yet, work for yourself...unless you really, really need this job? Pass it up. There's better out there for you. Go for the better not the already been there, done that and don't feel like being used. If you do choose to return? The fired deal should be wiped clean, never happened, get a letter of Recommendation up front regardless and require that they be unable to re-fire you ... of course you have to then guarantee that you'll conduct yourself to the best of your ability and of course work in a manner conducive to that of a good employee. The Labour Board should be able to advise you on this issue as well to help you determine exactly what your rights are and what you can expect.
Good luck with whatever you decide and hope it all works out for you
Add on based on your additional comment: Don't want to return? Can't blame you...then don't Your husband isn't in the position and unless you have no other choice (financially) then your hubby should be able to honour your decision. There's gotta be better things out there for you and you won't be able to go after them if you're stuck in a wishy washy position like this one. You're out...stay out.

I word for an employment agency and with the lack of details, it's very hard for my to give you a full professional opinion. Why did they terminate you? Is there a chance they will terminate employment again for the same reason? If so, don't go back. It's very odd for an employer to terminate and then ask for the person back, lay off yes.... but not terminate. Good luck with whatever you decide to do.

Did they fired u for no reason?
if not,then y r they again picking u up?
if there is no proper explanation behind these things then i suggest u should not join again, unless u r in need of a job...
well as far as self respect n all is concerned I'm pretty sure u will agree with me that its a high time to get practical in life n once u join again everything will b regular n normal...but b sure they r'nt taking u for granted...
join only if u r badly in need of this job or else no need

Listen to your husband or you'll regret it! Swallow your pride- what is pride worth anyway? Go back & save yourself a lot of heartache. If you decide to be prideful & not return you might have a hard time finding another job. The holidays are coming & this is not the best time to be job hunting. Forgive, forget & move on.

Think very hard about this one.
What was the reason they fired you? And what was the reason they want to rehire you? Something does not seem right about this.
I wouldn't go back. You never know if you will have to find another job again.

lol reminds me of a time when i had that happen to me well sort of along the lines. They accused me of taking the keys to a display case. I told them you're mistaken i don't have them. Eventually one of the managers took me aside and said, "where di you put the "f**kin" i don't have time for this sh*t." i said listen i don't have them. So he wrote me up and asked me to sign the form. I refused. They had there security guard check my bags and my person. I told them to go nuts check all you want. Got off work and decided i wasn't going to put up with that and went back to work and said, "im done, i quit." a week later when the genreal manager came back from holidays he called me begging me to come back and told me that someone else took the keys home by accident. I just laughed and said not a chance.

Weird. Why did they fire you in the first place since they want you back now? You can ask them why you were fired and don't go back. They already lowered your self esteem by firing you.

with what you have said, i understand that they must have fired you for no reason. In that case, I would suggest you
1. if you are a person with self-esteem, you should turn down the offer.
2. if you feel that salary is of more importance to you, then you may accept the offer.
