Really it all depends on your relationship with the other man. If he is a man you don't know very well (like a co-worker you don't know very well socially), I would keep those kind of comments to yourself. If it's a man that you would consider a good friend, or even family, saying things like "how did you manage to get her bob" isn't bad as long as it's said in a joking manner.
As long as you don't make him feel threatened, you're in the clear.

You are probably ok if it is without alterior motives. If you know that the guy has a tendancy to be jealous...its probably best to stay away from it.
If you are looking for some brownie points...go with "she's every bit as beautiful as you speak of her" ... gives a compliment to her and gives him an atta boy in her eyes. (shouldn't get jealous over that) That's of course if he is enough an acquaintance that it applies.

It's perfectly acceptable to compliment! Just make sure you don't cross the line and you can always tell "bob" when the two of you alone, that he's a lucky guy. If you're with a date of your own, though, make sure she gets all the attention! Good Luck!

Well, I don't think it's offensive to say, "your wife is beautiful" or "you are a lucky man." But don't go into any detail or get intimate in your compliments. Best to comment on her cooking or house, as in "you have a lovely home" or "your wife is a wonderful cook".

Depends on the person! I have a few buddies that I joke with about what lies did they tell their wives to get them to marry them. I have another buddy that tells me I married up and always compliments my wife! It doesn't bother me I like it and so does my wife!
But I wouldn't say something like that to my boss!

depends on how well you no the man introducing his girl.....if he has a tendency for the little green eyed monster to come out keep it casual with a "very nice to meet you" if he is a good pal and all and i don't see a problem with it. i think it is very polite and respectful. as well occasionally a little flattery goes a long way.

The examples of compliments you gave are good, but I think you should substitute "Beautiful for Pretty",leave out the other two, show an innocent smile, and give your compliments, while both of them are present. (This is a good question!-THUMBS UP)!

It completely depends on the type of girl you have. If she gets jealous easily, I would only trade pleasantries with acquaintances, nothing more.

It'd be okay, but maybe something more like "your wife is a lovely woman" rather than beautiful, since if you focus only on her looks it could perhaps come across as crass.

It all depends on the woman I guess, and if the man becomes jealous easily.
