Awrite mate, I catch ur drift, been there done that. It's just for the money but ur gona need to bullsh*t ur way in.
Go on about how Barclays is an internationally recognised bank which would be great opportunity for personal development. You realise how at a young age this work experience will be invaluable and a career with one of these banks is something that interests you greatly. Talk about how you are highly motivated and very much interested in career progression. DO NOT TALK ABOUT THE WAGE! Never mention the chance to earn a big salary, they will think this is all you are after - guaranteed.
Other questions may be along the lines of: give an example of a situation where you solved a problem, what was the outcome, what would you do differently next time. Give an example of when you have come up with an innovative solution. Give an example of when you have worked as part of a team, what was your role. Give an example of when you have led a team. What are ur strengths/weaknesses. Give an example of when you have planned something from scratch through to completion, again, how was it, what would you change. Give an example of when you have communicated effectively. (Remember the big corporations are looking for more than academic prowess, they want the social skills as well, so show you can work with others) Etc etc
Best of luck - knock 'em dead! (not literally)

Be honest and tell them that.
Also ask them questions like
What area would they recommend you look at during your work experience?
What sort of jobs will you be doing during the work experience?
Would they be willing to write a report to school on how you fared over and above the standard one if you work really hard and show great initiative?
Is there any area they desperately need help in that they could use you for and get real value from you over the 2 weeks?
Please remember, they know how young you are and they are not going to put you through some sort of draconian, difficult interview in a way that an adult may face. So just relax, have a few little questions ready and above all listen to what they have to say.
You will be fine - Barclays are an excellent company they will be trying to help you and acommodate you, not make you a nervous wreck at interview!!

Just be yourself. Don't try to be clever. The person doing the interview has seen it all before.
The most important thing Barclays want to know about work experience candidates is that you'll bother showing up every day.
You could mention that your friend has told you that Barclays are good employers. The interviewer won't believe you (he also works for Barclays) but you'll get credit for being a creep!

Something along the lines of "I've always been interested in how the banking system works, I feel working here will influence my career path once I leave school. Barclays has one of the best reputations on the high-street etc" should do it. It's work experience they're not going to be too harsh.

I work for an employment agency and this is my professional advice:
I want to work for this establishment because of the wonderful reputation you uphold. I am interested in banking because I enjoy the fast paced environment. I am very good with developing a professional relationship with customers because I love being around people. Make sure you should pride in yourself and confidence that you can do this job. Make them feel like you are an asset to this company.
Good luck! I hope you get it.

thats what the interview is for. it's not going to be a questioning session, because your going there for work experiance. they just want you to come in so they can tell you what kind of cloaths to ware, what time to come in and leave. and tell you about what you will be doing there. i'd go in a shirt and trousers on the interview, dont be too nervious because it's not going to be that bad. once you get there all the worry will go and you'll be fine. anythink you want to ask them think about it know because they will ask you if you want to know anythink.
