Go to www.wowomg.com
From there you should see a column on the left that lists: World of Warcaft, Guild Wars, etc. Near the bottom click on Anti-virus Programs. This is a gaming website developed to help gamers of certain games, but it has been useful to me for numerous computer issues. I hope it works for you.

I was looking for that "slow down" in your question...I feel EZ Antivirus is the best as it does good work of fighting with the viruses quietly without taking up much of the resources...It is a software from CA. Hope you find my answer useful...The next best is Mc Afee which is also good but it take more resources than EZ...

NOD32 is one of the best anti-viruses I know of (for a low system use-to-security ratio), it is the one I use and I cannot even notice when it is doing a scan.
It may not be as powerful as Norton, but it won't kill your system

Steganos is good and doesn't slow down your PC while you use it. Get it here:

Otherwise, check out Antivir, it's free and solid:
