One knows of course that the harmonium has its critics — to be remembered is the fact that the instrument remained banned from All India Radio for close to 30 years, following the diktat of one of our Information and Broadcasting Ministers, B.V. Keskar — and the charge of ‘music incapacity’ has been levelled against it from time to time.

The harmonium was banned on All India Radio until recently.
