I'm shy with him???

Question

So, I had a cursh on this guy. A really huge crush which like went on for more than a year! At first we weren't friends but since I was so crazy about him, we end up chatting a lot on MSN and playing online games together. We had this really close relationship online but when I see him at school, we are like total strangers.

The thing is, I no longer have a crush on him now but I'm still feeling akward being around him. I either ignore his presence or try not to give him any eye contact when he's around. I don't even chat with him online now but I can't seem to treat him like how I treat my other friends. I really don't know why but I want to get out of this situation. It's killing me since lately my best friend is dating his friend so we often end up hanging out together.

What should I do to treat him like any other human??? I don't want to feel akward around him anymore!!!

You, know I have been in a similar situation and what I did was called him on the phone and explain to him, that you had fun playing games and IM him but now you have been so busy with your home work you don't go on line much but I was wondering why you don't say anything to me, I realize I don't say anything to you too, but you act like your almost mad at me and I just wanted to clear that up, and hopefully he will come up with something. It's hard to hang with others and not talk, you have to get it out if it kills you. good luck tho.

Have you considered that the close relationship you had while on line was based largely on your imagination? You visualized a lot but when you were with him one on one, it was totally different as you were dealing with hard core reality.

Do you have any idea how many relationships have been destroyed or lost forever because of a woman taking a defensive stance, no eye contact, etc. How do you think that makes the guy feel. I'll tell you how it makes him feel, like you are not interested, and do not care about him and possibly wanting to avoid him, so they guy picks up the pieces and finds someone else.

We only regret the things in life we did not do, so if you care about this guy, and want him in your life, it is time to stop playing games, and confront him and let him know for now that you at least find him interesting and give him a reason to take it further.

Excuse me for saying so, but I consider women to be gifted with wisdom, but I sometimes cannot believe the apparent total lack of knowledge.

Keep on, and if you think you feel bad now, wait till he finds a woman who knows how to treat him, and that is when your true heartache will begin.

Chatting online can give you a very intimate knowledge of someone's personality, but you're not face to face. That's why seeing someone in person is awkward.
You may want to try talking about some of those things you did on line, or maybe play some of those games together which you did over the internet. That will help bring the guy, and the personality, together in one package.
After that, if you don't like him, you don't like him.

You should try being friends again or don't worry about it...If you feel weird around him, then it will always be that way unless you change it. If you start to fall for him, tell him how you feel, maybe you two can become an item?...

that's called "puppy love" and its not real love. No. your not shy. Just cautious. If you feel that you are awkward or uneasy around him, try going to other places that you know he will not be at. You just might find somebody just for you. Whatever you do, listen to your heart. Because it will not stear you wrong.

Write him a letter on how you feel and hand it to him in the hallway when you see him. That's the best.
