Hello, I'm on the second week and seeing definite improvement on my yeast infection symptoms:

Note that: If the yeast infection doesn't respond to over the counter treatment, prescription medication will likely be necessary. Similarly, if the symptoms return after two months of being treated, you should contact the doctor for professional treatment rather than resorting again to home treatment.

If this is the first time you have experienced a yeast infection, you should schedule an appointment to have the condition treated by a doctor instead of resorting to home treatment

When i have had yeast infections in the past here is what i did. My granny told me about this trick from back in the day. You buy a douche and drain the liquid out and rinse it out. Buy some plain yogurt and put a couple few spoon fulls in the douche bottle then fill the rest with warm water. Douche with this a couple times a day or until you feel reliefe. It has always worked for me and i never had to go to a doc. However yours sounds more serious if it has been there a year. But you never know, try it.

It appears your doctor is not doing his/her job especially since you've been taking something prescribed. A prescribed medication takes care of a normal yeast infection within 2 weeks. If nothing has helped for over a year - then more testing must be done to determine what you really have. Get this done right away before you begin other problems.

See a doctor to be safe, but there is a herbal formula that works really well. I have to take medication that makes me prone to yeast infections(some people call it candida) they can happen anywhere on your body, and internally.
Its called "Candidate" made by Native remedies. It worked well for me.
Its a tincture, you take a few drops a day. It is in a grain alcohol base,if you want to get rid of the alcohol, just put the drops in a tea cup, pour a few ounces of hot water in, andlet it sit for 2-3 minutes, all of the alcohol will be evaoprated then.
Also, you can try elimanting all dairy and refined sugar from your diet.
godd luck

if it's lasted this long, you should have seen a dr by now... but if you aren't adamant to dr's... try some home remedies like... natural tea bags.. just place one inside when you wake up in the morning and take it out when you go to bed... or you could use the famous yogurt remedy... buy some PLAIN yogurt and a medicine syringe... you'd use it just like you would any other vaginal cream made specifically for yeast infections... my mother does the tea bag thing... and a friend of mine does the yogurt...

Have your blood sugar tested- you may be diabetic. Diabetics with uncontrolled blood sugar are prone to infections (yeast ones too), so if the basic issue of blood sugar is your problem and it isn't addressed, your yeast infections will never clear up.
