Yes, absolutely there is still a chance. Some women never test positive on home pregnancy tests (who knows why?). Also, not every home pregnancy test is the same. Some detect the pregnancy hormone at lower levels than others. Www.peeonastick.com is a great website with info on various home pregnancy tests. In a nutshell, the Early Response and Clearblue Digital Early tests are the best to use---use them even if you are late already, because they have higher sensitivies and can pick up better than other tests. Finally, if that is still negative, consider going to a doctor's office and request a QUANTITATIVE test (not the qualitative one) and find out your exact level of HcG--if it's above 10, no home pregnancy test would pick up on it, but it still means you are pregnant!!!
Good luck and God bless!

Yes, there is still a chance! Many times a HPT can be a "false" negative if taken too early to detect the pregnancy hormone. It has happened to me in the past. I, too, have always been very regular and with all 3 of my pregnancies, I just "knew" that I was pregnant. I think most women are in tune enough with their bodies to be able to discern a difference in symptoms of PMS/pregnancy, and to know if a period being late could be pregnancy. I would advise to take another test in a few days (if you can wait a week- I know that's hard when you are hoping!!!) and take it first thing in the morning when your urine has a higher concentration of the hormone. If there is even a faint line, then congratulations! Best of Luck......Baby will come when the time is right.

It depends on the test you took and when you got pregnant. if you are regular than I would test tomorrow or wait a few days. You also could get a blood test but they might not send you up for week or so! Also if it is early, wait to read the test, sometimes it takes a little bit of time for the positive to come up! good luck and hope you are!

My cycles are pretty regular 28-29 days. Both times I got pregnant, I didn't test until day 32, and then I got very, very faint lines. I would wait 3 days to retest. The hcg your body produces when you are pregnant doubles about every 2-3 days. However, if you do test and get another negative result, make an appointment with your OBGYN and have them do a blood test. Good luck.

there are tests that will show positive up to 5 days before you are supposed to start your period....that may be too soon for some women.
I had the same thing happen to me a couple of months ago...I was 2 WEEKS LATE! I had NEVER been late in my life. I think the stress of wanting to br pregnant messed up my body and that is why I was so late. Try again in a few days or see your dr.

Hey, Good luck and congrats! You definitely could still be pregnant. I just found out that I was and I took it before I even missed my period and it came back positive, so everybody is definitely different. I suggest waiting at least a week until you try again...Don't worry everything will happen the way that it is suppose to, don't stressing!

I don't think you are pregnant. A fertilized egg has had time to implant and start producing hCG (the hormone that pregnancy tests tries to detect) by the time you miss your period. Usually, the problem is testing too early before the egg has implanted, because by the that time it's too hearly.
So, like I said, since you've already missed your period and still tested negative, it's highly unlikely you are pregnant.

If you stress or think about it all the time you can get symptoms of pregnancy such as a missed period but to be safe go and get a blood test from your doctor those are more accurate than a home pregnancy test i hope the best for you

Awww! I don't like mean people either. I would just wait a couple days even though I know it is hard. If your cycles are regular it is a very good chance you are. Do you know when you ovulated? Try to be as patient as you can. I hope everything works out in your favor.

All you can do is wait and retest in a couple of days. Perhaps the stress of wanting to be pregnant is making your period late.
But, good luck!
