I have a 98 Integra with rust spots on the hood and no where else on the car. How much time/money would it be to get it (only the hood) painted? I was also thinking of a carbon fiber hood for a different look. Depending on the price and difficulty of each I would decide. Thanks

Keep this in mind.

If you repaint your hood...its not going to match the rest of your car. The new paint will look brighter and shinier compared to the older paint on your bumper and fenders.

You can also try looking around for someone who has a hood that is the same color and they are willing to sell it.

And once again Jennifer has put another stupid f*****g answer.

Carbon fiber hoods are not hard to maintain. They require the same amount of maintenance as a regular hood. I have had a carbon fiber hood on my 2000 Si Coupe for almost three years now and I dont have one ding, scrape, or scratch in the resin coat.

If you are going to go with a carbon fiber hood, be prepared to shell out some extra cash, my hood was $550 big ones about 3 years ago...its a ViS Invader...

You can do it yourself for about $80. You can pay to have it done, $250 or you can replace it, paint to match, and put on, $1200. What is a 98 Integra worth to you.
