I use a Dell Inspiron 1000 as a desktop/laptop, and it doesn't have very much on it. I just did a Disk Defragment last weekend, but even after that it doesn't seem to run any faster. I had to redo an Outline for my European History class last night, and it took me almost 2 hours to do 10 minutes worth of corrections! Also, does anyone have a cheap desktop alternative I could get, maybe something around the 300-500 dollar range? Thanks in advance

very simple. Defragment your hard drive, uninstalling any programs that you don't absolutely need, put some more memory in your computer, and clean out your cookies.
