of republican corruption, how do you reconcile William Jefferson; Steny Hoyer; Nancy's own dodging of federal income-taxes by employing hundreds of illegals to harvest her grapes, and finally Murtha.

His ratting on his mates during ABscam aside; what about the Haliburton-like deal he and his brother have got going with the government defense contracts?

Links and sources?

Come on, you guys are much too sophisticated to need reference to commonly known facts, aren't you?

My links and reference material will be instantly regarded as " slander sites".

But a hint:

Hoyers voting record with a certain republican-led bill--- both sides are dirty on this one.

Jefferson? Please. Wasn't fish sticks in the deep-freeze.

Pelosi's employment of illegals is common knowledge as well.

Murtha?

it's not the suddendely resurfaced tapes I care about.

Like I said, he and his brother.

Not hard to find.

BUt since corruption is only a one-gender issue with our politicans, why believe me.

There is ...... never mind.

There's no such thing as being too sophisticated for supporting facts; it's an essential part of debate. List them.

the fine news is Pelosi backed John Murtha didn't get the no2 spot in the house. He bragged to Chris Mattews on Hardboil about having the vote. But the Democrat Moderates slammed dunk Murtha. Let's say payback is a *****.

Come on, you neo-cons must have enough brainpower to at least *attempt* rational debate, right? How about giving it a shot, and talk about ISSUES? I know you've been brainwashed by Rush and your party to ignore the issues and just name-call liberals, but you should really try it -- you might stimulate a few more brain cells, and being really thinking independently!

First clue: politics breeds corruption, no matter what "party" you belong to. There are bad ones in every party, every city, every state. There are also good ones -- our job as citizens is to keep government OPEN instead of secret so we can discover corruption, toss out the corrupt ones, and elect new ones in the hope they'll stay clean. Kind of like the last election. Will some of the newly-elected democrats succumb to the huge amounts of money being offered them to "cheat?" Of course. They're human. So let's fix the system that encourages corruption, and just keep tossing out the bad ones -- they've always been in politics (and in EVERY human activity), and always will be.

I mean, gosh, you're not saying above that it's OK to be corrupt, as many republicans have been, just because there are also a few democrats who are? Are you? No? Then what's your point...?

All I can say is that, once the swamp is drained there will be a bunch of Democrats squiggling in the mud like tadpoles.

"commonly known facts" are seldom that. Especially on this board.
