I like 9 because it reminds me more of the older Final Fantasy games. 7 however will always be most peoples favorite because it was the game that made rpgs popular in the majority of the US. 9 times out of 10 people who say 7 is the best havenever played 6 or crono trigger ect

7 is my favorite game of all time, but I really liked 9 as well. 8 had too much of a love story going on for me, 10 would have been decent if the characters were less irritating and it was at least a little more chalenging- save points that heal you everywhere. Right, that kinda takes away from the challenge. 10-2 I never got more than ten minutes into, I couldn't take it any longer than that. 5,6, and the Gameboy games (Legends, Adventure, etc) were also good, and Chocobo Racing- extremely hard to find- is really, really fun.
Also- the reason I mention disliking the love stories and 10-2 is I'm a girl, I just logged onto Yahoo under a guy's name years ago and never got around to changing it.

I'm gonna go with 9 also...I did love 7, and that was my 1st Final Fantasy...i didnt care for 8, and the last one I played was 10...I'm thinkin of pickin up the newest one and gettin back in it (we're on 12 now, rite) But 9 was my fave...and Crystal Chronicals was fun and different, and i cant wait for it to come out in the Wii!!!!!

that's pretty cool, not many people pick any final fantasy over 7.
i love final fantasy in general.... any of the FF's between 6 and 10, and the Crystal Chronicles one

7 was fun to play. i enjoyed 8 more though. however i didnt finish it yet. but i prefer 12 over any of those...
