From your question I can't determine if you are speaking of removing an anti spyware program that is used specifically to get rid of spyware, or if you want the actual spyware investations removed so let's do it this way:

Remove anti spyware programs (those used to protect your computer against spyware) by going to Start/Control Panel/Add Remove Programs. When this screen loads scroll down the list until you come to the name of the antispyware program you want to remove, click on it and then click Remove (an uninstall button should be located in the lower right hand corner of hightlit area. All programs on your system that you want/need removed should always be deinstalled in this manner to ensure the resident drivers and files etc are fully removed and to avoid system problems later.

There may be fragments of the removed program left over but I won't bother going into the methods of clearing out your Registry... removal by the above method should be suitable enough at this stage.

If however you are talking about removing spyware (the nasties that can bog your system down with gunk...), this will take a program or two of antispyware erradicators, i.e. Spyware Search and Destroy, Adaware, NoAdware, SpySweeper etc. Most of these programs offer a trial version, some are freeware. Doing a Google for antispyware tools will bring up a good selection for you to choose from. To ensure you are getting good programs, simply add "top 10" or "best" "most effective" to the beginning of your search, ie "top 10 free antispyware programs" etc.

All the most effective ones install very easily and operate almost seamlessly with your system...

Hope this is of some assistance, good luck

it doesn't help if you don't tell us the name of the program. go to start, control panel, add/remove programs and click on the antivirus program you want to remove. and click "remove".
