irregular lot is anything that is not rectangular or square, cul de sac is a "dead end" road, split floor plan means that the master bedroom is on one side of the house, and the other bedrooms are on the other.

An irregular lot is means that the lot isn't your normal rectangular lot. Living on a cul de sac is like living on a dead end road, which people like because there is very little traffic. I'm assuming a split floor plan is like a split level house. It's a house where if you walk in the front door, you don't walk into the main level of the house, you have to go up stairs to the main level or down stairs to the basement.

Sure - just on road trips around the Southwest, I've been from Tucson to Tucumcari, Tehachapi to Tonopah (Little Feat, Linda Ronstadt); stood on the corner in Winslow Arizona (Eagles); and gone through Saint Looey, Joplin, Missouri, and Oklahoma City is mighty pretty. You see Amarillo, Gallup, New Mexico, Flagstaff, Arizona, don't forget Winona, Kingman, Barstow, San Bernandino (Route 66, various). As long as I'm on this roll, Galveston, oh Galveston (Glen Campbell), plus I've seen miles and miles of Texas (Asleep at the Wheel). All the way to Reno (REM); and I've had many opportunities to just roll around Denver all day (Warren Zevon).

irregular lot means it's not a perfect rectangle.
cul de sac means it's on a dead end street - less car traffic!
