~West~
Forwards: Ron Artest, because half of the NBA fears him and the other half should.
Kevin Garnett, because he can do it all.
Guards: Tracy McGrady because he is unstoppable from anywhere on the court.
Chris Paul, because he has to be one of the best point guards in the west.
Center: Yao Ming, what I saw all ready this year from Yao, he is defiantly the best center in the league.
~East~
Forwards: Lebron James, did you see him so far this year, because if you haven't then i feel sorry for you because he is just phenomenal.
Emeka Okafor, he is better than he was a year ago and is developing into one of the best players in the league.
Guards: Micheal Redd, Leads the league in scoring with 31.3 points per game, has a .503 FG pecentage, and he got the NikeBasketball.com Baller of the Week.
Allen Iverson, deserves it sence he did get all-star MVP last Year.
Center: Dwight Howard, If you ask me, i think the kid is the next Kevin Garnett.
The write in I choose Kevin Martin, of the Sacromento Kings because he has proved to everyone that he should be an all-star.

To answer your question, I think Melo and Chris Paul should be All-Stars this year.
Everyone gave their lineups, so here's mine too.
WEST
Duncan - He has been a starter for 8 straight years. This year shouldn't be any different.
Anthony - 30 PPG, 4 RPG, 3 APG, 1.5 Steals. Looks like AllStar quality to me. Give this guy a chance
Ginobili - An AllStar game needs to have some sparkle. With Ginobili's crazy court moves, we are sure to be entertained.
C. Paul - The guy's not even old enough to drink, dishing close to 10 APG. Makes good decisions as a PG.
Stoudemire - Simple. With a billion votes in China, Yao is a shoe-in to be a starter. I think we Americans should vote for someone else.
EAST
Arenas - I dont know I just like this guy. Maybe he'll throw his AllStar jersey into the stands, which would make a good keepsake.
Johnson - We all expected Atlanta to flop. He carried the whole team on his shoulders, and look what we have now, playoff contenders.
Carter - More votes for him, perfect AllStar game material
Bosh - We need a 7 footer to guard the paint. He leads the league in rebounds now so that shouldn't be a problem.
Howard - Young and athletic. Makes good decisions. And most of all, he makes his freethrows (LOL). But I still like Shaq and I think he will still get the starter position.

Here is my All-Star ballot:
West
Forwards:
Dirk Nowitzki - excellent shooter and can score on the inside and the outside. Look for him to defend his 3 point shootout crown.
Tim Duncan - Averaging over 20 points, 10 rebounds, and about 2 blocks this early into the season.
Guards:
Tracy McGrady (Chris Paul) - T-Mac's great, but he will get in because of his popularity. But my vote goes to Chris Paul.
Kobe Bryant - The fans will vote in #24 based on popularity.
Center:
Yao Ming - I agree, he is carving out the competition this early into the season.
East
Forwards:
LeBron James - Can do it all!
Chris Bosh - Has shown a lot of improvement from last season.
Guards:
Jason Kidd - Averaging at least 8 rebounds and 9 assists a game.
Dwyane Wade - My vote for this year's All-star game MVP!
Center:
Shaquille O'Neal - If healthy, the Godfather is going to make his nth' all-star appearance.
Hope this helps.
