The wire is white, and is located in front of the engine. It is from the group of wires which go to the water temp sensor and the distributor.I am unable to locate where it is to plug into.

There should be a item with in reach of the plug. If not it was not used on your car. Perhaps you car did not come with a feature offered on a deluxe version.
