Sorry I never had a corn snake, but I have a childerns python. He's a very friendly snake and will only get 3' long full grown and can live in a 20 gallon tank(mines in a 44 gal). My snake has been handled lots so he's good to hold (my kids can hold him) he is an execllent eater, he has been fed dead mice and will grab it as soon as it hits the feeding platform in his tank. Corn snakes get quite big a friend of mine has an albino in a 120 gallon tank and he eats live rats(which are illegal here, so he has to drive across the border and smuggle a few in each month)

I know corn snakes are good starter snakes. But what you need to do is go to your local pet store and ask questions, you may even want to buy a book on raising snakes. Any good pet store should have a book or two. But they are just like kids, You are responsible for them,

I had a regular corn snake when I was a kid. It was a great pet, very gentle and friendly. It did bite me once but that was only a misunderstanding. One thing to note though, mine lived for about 14 years, so it's a pretty big commitment to get one. Other than that, I highly recommend them.

corn snakes, ball pythons or king snakes are very popular and the best for beginers.

they are very beautiful snakes but like most in the rat family they tend to be a bit snippy and dont like to be handeled much. stick with the ball python

I have an orange creamsicle... he's a lot of fun, easy to care for and easy to handle.
I feed him a rat pup twice a week, ususally. and make sure his water is fresh and cage clean.
