A Mexican flag is worse. It has no place in America. You want to fly that flag, go the he!! to Mexico! This is America baby, land of the free and home of the brave. Not land of the people who like living in our country because of all the positives we have but still want to represent the country they wanted to get away from.

Screw That!

Hispanic flying a Mexican Flag. They Wanna fly that flag, do it in Mexico. The confederate flag is part of American history. The southerners recognize the American flag as theirs. The Mexicans are flying their flag because they love Mexico. Move back there then. These are the same people who burn the American flag. Send them back home.

IMO a confederate flag is about the same as flying a state flag unless it is being flown to represent something it never meant. It is a flag of this country and there for I have no problem with it. The Mexican flag should not be flown here in my opinion.

I am not even going to really comment.

But, I fly a Confederate flag everyday. right under the stars and bars. Because i know what the confederate flag stood for. and slavery was not it.

As for the Mexican Flag. Sure, why not. I guess we better start rallying to get all the world flags from other countries taken down too. America is a complete immigrated country minus the American Indians, well, actually they are immigrants too. Bering Sea Ice bridge.. So, I would think: All flags should be welcome as long as you respect the nations flag fist.

Theodore Roosevelt's ideas on Immigrants and being an AMERICAN in 1907.

"In the first place, we should insist that if the immigrant who comes here in good faith becomes an American and assimilates himself to us, he shall be treated on an exact equality with everyone else, for it is an outrage to discriminate against any such man because of creed, or birthplace, or origin. But this is predicated upon the person's becoming in every facet an American, and nothing but an American...There can be no divided allegiance here. Any man who says he is an American, but something else also, isn't an American at all. We have room for but one flag, the American flag... We have room for but one language here, and that is the English language... and we have room for but one sole loyalty and that is a loyalty to the American people."

Theodore Roosevelt, 1907

Only a small portion of the population in the south owned slaves. The civil war was more than just a slavery issue.

Southerner flying a Confederate Flag. The South stood for some of the most horrible things ever! Like slavery and states rights.

I don't think either is wrong. Freedom of speech (and flying a flag is just that) is a protected right. It doesn't affect my life so I don't care. But you say, "Oh but what about what it stands for?" Again, none of my business.

Since when did this stuff become a problem? If the Hispanic is legal, none of my business. If the Southerner is proud of his heritage, again, none of my business. And if gay people want to fly that rainbow flag, none of my business.

But, personally, I am affronted by a Nazi flag. That really make me mad. But, again, protected speech.
