Who of you did that, but had no intention of leaving your husband?

Why did it happen?
How many of you expected your husband to take you back?

I haven't but only because the man I'm in love with turned me down. If I had had the affair I had no intention of leaving my husband because he is a great father.

I cheated once. I had been cheated on numerous tmes and was pissed. I met a hot guy at school and we became friends and then slept together once. It didn't make me feel better like I thought it would, it only made me feel awful and I vowed never to do it again, and I haven't. My husband never found out, but it's bene a year and I haven't even looked at another guy since.

At age 22, with 2 babies at home that often i get stuck with when he took off on me to go partying with family..so he said.
I had no intenstion of leaving him due to his flirting with women and times he denyed it when i found him alone with women at parties. I felt angry,hurt and stuck because we had little children at home. To get over my heartaces of his betrayal i thought only getting even by cheating would make me feel alot better.....it did! THERE! i thought if he can do it so can i. He never did find out either. Deep in my heart i knew i got even and actually felt good about it! My self esteem was higher and soon i began to tell him if he wanted to go out partying and im stuck at home with no baby sitter then he's going to have to start helping me with the kids while i go out. So thats how it went for awhile because he agreed. He suspected i was cheating but never had no evidence to even bring it up when i had all my evidence with my own eyes when i caught him.... years passed i cheated off and on at least 3 times on him in the 10 years of marriage i had with him. All the men meant nothing. We were great parents together. I loved him for being a good daddy and we had alot of ups and downs with our relationship. In the end we knew we couldn't live together anymore because we didn't get along due to the lack of comunication. During those years he would critism me and call me names. I didn't enjoy that! it hurt me with all the hurtful things he would say and then i just shut down and didn't bother talking to him personally anymore due to the fact of being scare to get a cheap shot for my feelings...
On the 12th year of the marriage he asked me for a divorce and i agreed.... that day he talked about the past and said "sorry at least someday we can say we didn't try" i agreed...... thats all i remembered doing.....agreeing all the time to avoid an arguement. If i stayed probably i would have cheated again...only to make myself feel better when all i use to get was a put downs and no attention from him.

After I had my son my husband was constently making remarks about my weight and putting me down alot. I was making the effort going to the gym not for him but for myself and I did met a guy there who told me what I needed to hear. It did not last long and neither did my marriage.
