For the last 30 years, our media and education systems have portrayed white people and their history and culture in negative ways. Many of the people who run our media and educational institutions are social marxists from the 60's who use the philosophies of the Frankfurt School to blame whites for all of the minorities failures. I guess some white people are influenced by the nonstop propoganda of MTV and their public schools, and begin to hate themselves. It is very sad.

I agree that there is no such thing as "acting black." Or acting green or purple, for that matter. There's only acting responsibly and intelligently, and then there's acting like a d@mn fool, with maybe a little something in between the 2. The gangsta rap culture is the place for ignorant morons who despise everything that is good, and care about nothing but themselves and their own gain. Black people may have started the rap culture of which some of them are so proud, but plenty of whites and other races perpetuate it as well. All people should get a clue.

So because I have an advanced college degree and I work in corporate America and make a really great salary, does that mean I'm acting white?
Get over the stereotypes. There's no such thing as "acting" like a certain race because people within the same race don't all act the same.

in a wider view it works both ways...but its also a new edition to pop culture...rap which stands for Rhythmic American Poetry
many rappers dream of being like a rock band and eventually it all gels together just look at its history...its not new the music is sort of...its getting worse musically but its all ready made its way into many styles one day true rap may be similar to jazz in obscurity

I find it funny and yet sad that Americans in general are trying to emulate all the cultures that we have tried to destroy, i.e. African Americans, Japanese, Native Americans.

We are living in a world gone mad. It is the same reason why there are African people trying to be white.
I really do not get it. I am an African woman and i really have no time time to try to be something that i am not and something that my ancestors gave birth to..
